CrossFit is a lifestyle characterised by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit perform functional movements at high intensity using a constantly varied programme. The movements are drawn from gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. The aim is to maximise the amount of work done with good to great form, in the shortest amount of time.
CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone—from people who are just starting out to people who have trained for years.
Every workout is timed and measured; to make improvement visible, motivate you to compete against yourself, and to encourage healthy competition among the community.
Running, strength, and fitness cycles are on an 8 week program so you can measure and have goal based focus with real results.
At RFX CrossFit whilst our sole focus is to bring you the best CrossFit program of any facility in Australia, we do run a select few specialty classes to help you focus on part of your CrossFit journey.
Olympic Lifting: We will often run lifting workshops to give our clients the opportunity to focus on core skills and drills in their olympic lifts and to get coaches eyes on you to help provide invaluable feedback about your lifting techniques.
Gymnastics: There are so many amazing gymnastics movements and we don’t often get to spend a lot of time in class to really focus on advanced skills. Our gymnastics workshops give you that opportunity to really pick a skill you are missing and learn it in a controlled focused environment.
Technique driven sessions with a focus on the Olympic lifts; Clean + Jerk and Snatch. Coached by RFX Coaches who both have an extensive background in teaching weightlifting, driven by their passion for quality of movement.
At RFX the daily CrossFit class forms the basis of our training program!
Each class consists of 2-3 parts
- A comprehensive warm-up which often includes mobility and skill development.
- A strength or gymnastics training component using barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight and many other variations of equipment to achieve the desired effect for the day.
- A conditioning component done in varying time frames. We have a massive variation of equipment and styles of training that we draw from to create fun but seriously effective workouts.
Although we have a set plan of what we are trying to achieve each training cycle, we have great variation in what we do to ensure your training stays fun and exciting!
Great for building up more endurance and also having fun whilst getting a sweat on. Still focusing on our CrossFit principles but working for longer durations of time and combining a lot more movements to get the blood pumping. Suitable for members with one to two months’ training experience and who are comfortable with all movements.
